Ok, a quick but rather handy one… how to change what port a client listens on for a remote connection with terminal services (remote desktop)

  1. Start Registry Editor.
  2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetControlTerminalServerWinStationsRDP-TcpPortNumber
  3. On the Edit menu, click Modify, and then click Decimal.
  4. Type the new port number, and then click OK.
  5. Quit Registry Editor.
Of course this be messin with th eregistry so if you’r enot sure what you’re doing, back it up first… go here to find out how.
